Zombie Survival Machine
Taking a stock Veloster, Hyundai got some help from the team at Galpin Auto Sports to help build out a vehicle that is truly ready for the end of the world. The vehicle has been equipped with everything from a roof mounted machine gun to a bumper with dual chainsaws for mowing down the undead. Of course there is also plenty of armour found throughout the vehicle as well including the thick metal plating and window bars to keep the walkers out. Unfortunately we don’t think this thing will ever hit the production line, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome.

Custom Honda CB1100
Fusing technical raw elements with clean lines, Bez stripped the engine and exhaust block to only leave the bare essentials. The frame and other main components are finished in matte black and lacquered, while the whole tank and saddle is simply one block of aluminum. The sparse design gets topped off with a leather saddle that crosses over to the rear light, contrasting nicely with the matte black and aluminum motif. By industrial designer Dimitri Bez.
Yard Built XV950 ‘Playa del Rey’
Matt Black Custom Designs have been busy building their first ever Yard Built project. The result is a true showstopper, paying tribute to the board track racers of 100 years ago. An impressive mix of custom, and bolt on parts are beautifully crafted together to become the Yard Built XV950.
This combination of new and old mixed together is something we saw in the work of Matt Black’s previous builds, commented Yamaha Motor Europe Product Manager, Shun Miyazawa. “As a result we knew they were the right people to take on the latest XV950 Yard Built project and the result is amazing. They’ve kept all the fun of the standard bike, but shown you can use it as a base to easily build something iconic with a perfect blend of vintage and modern without compromising the ride.”

The vehicle sees a shortened stock chassis, aluminum windshield complete with an added smoke headlight housing a circular LED light (a nod to the classic Scrambler series), and original lids removed for monocoque made of sheets recovered from industrial bins – all of which was not only hammered, but shaped completely by hand as well. To give the bike its smooth finish, the shell was coated in a transparent polyurethane gloss. There’s custom art found on the sides of the bike’s tank by Vibrazioni, designed to replicate the impressions left by the Pirelli MT 60 RS tires found on both the front and rear wheels.
